23A

1. Leadership experience
This is imperative to have when running or creating any idea or company.

2. Organization skills
Without this skill, a company could fail immediately.

3. Fellow students interested in being involved on the project
Having fellow students involved will help to get the idea off the ground.

4. The building is already standing, which I intend to use
Because the building is already up, this means the cost will be much lower than if one needed to be created.

5. Potential financial funders
Without potential funds an idea could never be implemented.

6.Human capital
This resource is a compilation of necessary skills and experience needed for success.

7. Professional connections
Connections is a major game changer and will create word and quicker action for the idea.

8. Large customer base
Without a customer base there is no point in pursuing a project.

9. knowledge on the topic
If one is not informed on the project, it will not reach its potential.

10. Strong management
This is the key to long term success.

I believe the top resource from my list would be the professional connections linked to this project. There is a huge range of individuals who would be interested in this project and that would be willing to fund it and aid with the process of creating it. This resource will majorly affect the success of the idea if it were to be implemented.

I only had one comment on my past pitch, but I did get some tips on some public speaking etiquette from it.

1) What was the general theme or argument of the book?

The general theme is all about how by having minimal government we will aid in creating an entrepreneurial society. The book also discusses some ways to achieve advantage over fellow companies.
2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
I believe after reading this book that it connects with what I have learned in this class because it also shows characteristics of leaders and steps that can help to be successful.
3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
Based on  the book I read, i believe a good exercise to add would be one where innovation is required. An exercise could be listing three components of the plan are going to be put into place to give an advantage to the business.
4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha' moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations?
I was very surprised when I read the book and found out how already established companies have to work to keep a competitive edge and the key role that innovation plays.

For this weeks assignment I researched my industry and determine and good contact as a domain expert in my industry. I spoke with Jill Rodriguez from UF who is majorly involved with all the restaurants on campus and their success and failures. She is the Sr. Marketing manager at the university. I know her through a survey program I am involved with on campus. She is a domain expert in this industry and I contacted her through email. She will offer me great help when it comes to marketing my idea.

Secondly, an expert on this topic would be Bill Mcginn who is the assistant director of business services at uf. He handles affairs relating to dinning on campus and holds much responsibility and knowledge on the topic. I also found him through the dinning program I volunteer for at UF. I contacted him through the phone and talked with him about my idea. The favor he did for me is give me information and ideas for my plan.

Lastly, I spoke with the manager of Aubon pain in newell hall. This is the sort of restaurant I am thinking would be a nice fit for library west. My friend works at the restaurant an d gave me the managers contact information. Working as the manager supplied her with information and tips to offer me. In return for her help, I offered a possible new location for a new restaurant.

My name is Evelyn Menendez and I am a sophomore and business major at the university of florida. One of my main talents is problem solving. I am a very determined person and I am highly motivated by challenges and fining the solution to problems. My aspirations for my idea is for it to be implemented and for it to be beneficial to the students and the school. If I were to start this business it would be my main concentration and I would be completely devoted to it and striving for its success. I am offering to customers with a solution to their need. I will solve this need by giving them the opportunity to save time, money, and energy. I am selling to students on campus who study at library west and begin feeling hungry while studying. My customers care because this is a major issue for them and I have found a solution for them. My idea is set apart from my computer, Starbucks, because this idea will offer students with more affordable and satisfying food.

I was unable to upload my last pitch due to internet issues I was facing, but I practiced my original pitch with some friends and I used their feedback to improve my pitch. Some of the feedback I received expressed that I could try incorporating questions to grab my audience's attention. I did this in my second pitch and I think it majorly improved my pitch!

My customer avatar is a 17-24 year old student at UF. This is an image of what my prototypical customer looks like. Above is Jenny, she is a sophomore at UF and visits library west several times a week to study and complete homework assignments. She lives off campus at The Ridge and drives a white Jetta. She enjoys volunteering at Shands and also spending time with her friends. She is very busy with her studies, but at night before she goes to bed she watches the bachelor and black mirror. We both spend many hours in library west and suffer from similar struggles when it comes to getting food at the library. I am not surprised that we have things in common because we live similar lives.

The most accomplishing point of this semester is when I brought my idea to my supervisor. He is the assistant director of business services ...
