This article addresses how there are counties that do not have an emergency shelter for the homeless. Many of these people are unable to retrieve food stamps due to the electronic devices they have or there mental state. Many do not want to beg on the street despite their state of need. The issue of a lack of emergency shelters, especially in poor counties, has become more obvious now because of the cold weather. Some churches and personal homes have opened up to help these people who are in need of shelter. It is imperative to bring more awareness to this issue and find out a way to combat this problem. Tobacco at 21 would prevent lifetimes of addiction, death
This article focuses on sharing a history on smoking and the affects it has on users. Through the article, it is explained how important it is to higher the smoking age and how it has already begun to be implemented. It has been shown that 95% of addiction to smoking begins before the age of 21. Smoking is a major threat to individuals health and has shown to cause heart disease, stroke and lung issues. The problem lies within the age group of 18-21. The younger an individual smokes, the greater chance they have to become addict to the harmful product. I think it is imperative to higher the age required for people to purchase tobacco products and to find alternative methods to the product.

Trump's order not enough to prevent veteran suicide
This article shared about Trump's attempt to address and solve the issues regarding to veterans mental health when re-entering into civilian life. Trumps's efforts have not solved the problem and do not suffice the problem. His order does not consider medical cannabis as a form of healing and relief for traumatized veterans. Veterans post-war are facing many mental issue and it has been shown that in 2014, 20 veterans committed suicide each day. Poor care and mental health in veterans is a major issue and we must find a solution for this problem. There are many ways to aid these veterans, but we have not yet discovered a way to address veterans being prescribed medications that could further threaten them, veterans who have been forced out of the VA's medical-treatment network, And veterans' families, whose lives have been shattered.

  1. Evelyn,
I have not really heard much about this car hacking problem that you wrote about, but it does seem very concerning considering it could literally affect everyone on the road and even innocent bystanders. Your third article is another huge public issue that affects a lot of people around me. I have never smoked, but it is very relatable. Smoking substitutes is already a densely populated market, so it would definitely be a challenge to revolutionize the industry even more.
